Postminion vs SocialBee: an honest comparison for 2026

A quick warning before anything else: I'm the person who built Postminion. Weigh my opinions accordingly, and check my numbers against the sources I link.

SocialBee is an interesting one to compare against, because its best feature is something Postminion doesn't do at all. SocialBee is built around content categories: you sort posts into folders like "Promotional", "Educational", or "Blog posts", drop those categories into a weekly posting schedule, and let SocialBee pick the next post from each one. Posts you mark as evergreen go back into the queue after they publish, so a good post can keep going out for months without you touching it.

Postminion has no categories, no queues, and no recycling. Every post is one post, going out at one time. If you want to share it again, you schedule it again.

So the real question is whether you want a system that keeps a library of posts in rotation, or a tool that sends out new content in one go.

The short version

Pick SocialBee if you have a library of evergreen content (blog posts, tips, quotes, product highlights) and you want it recycled on a schedule. Also pick SocialBee if you want an AI writing assistant, a comments and DMs inbox, analytics, or team approvals, or if you post to X, Pinterest, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, or a LinkedIn company page.

Pick Postminion if you make new short-form content and publish each piece to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Threads, Facebook, and your personal LinkedIn. It's cheaper at every size: $8 a month covers up to 8 accounts, while SocialBee's cheapest plan is $29 a month for 5.

I checked everything below on September 29, 2026, against SocialBee's pricing page, the SocialBee help center, SocialBee's changelog, and Postminion's pricing. Pricing pages get updated, so look at both again before you pay.

Pricing: profile tiers plus add-ons vs flat

SocialBee sells plans by the number of social profiles you connect, with users and workspaces bundled in. A workspace is a separate area for one business or client. Higher plans also add features, so the tier you need depends on more than your account count.

Postminion also sells plans by account count, but that's the only thing that changes between plans (plus faster support on Premium). The features are identical on every tier.

SocialBee also sells add-ons on any plan: an extra user or an extra workspace is $10 a month ($100 a year), and a set of 5 extra profiles is $15 a month ($150 a year). Its prices don't include VAT or other sales taxes, which get added at checkout.

Here's what that means for some common account counts, on monthly billing:

The $44 figures are my own sums: Bootstrap at $29 plus one $15 profile add-on. Everything else is a list price. Stacking add-ons on a lower tier can come out a few dollars under the next tier up in other cases too, but you keep the lower tier's features. Bootstrap doesn't have post approvals or CSV uploads, for example.

On yearly billing the gap looks about the same. Ten accounts is $490 a year on SocialBee Accelerate and $165 a year on Postminion Pro.

Some things in SocialBee's favour:

Its yearly discount is bigger. SocialBee takes about 16% off for paying yearly, which works out to roughly two months free. Postminion's yearly price is 11 months for the price of 12.

Team seats are part of the price. SocialBee Pro includes 3 users per workspace, and the agency plans include 5. Postminion has no team seats at all, so if three people need their own logins, the comparison isn't really price against price.

Its trial is longer. SocialBee gives you 14 days with full Pro features, and no credit card is needed to sign up. When the trial ends, posting stops and you can't get to your content until you pick a plan. After you pay, SocialBee has a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase (not on renewals).

Neither tool has a free plan. Postminion's trial is 7 days: $0 today, and no charge if you cancel within 7 days.

Platforms and formats

SocialBee connects to more networks, and it has a fallback for the ones it can't publish to directly.

"Reminders" means the SocialBee mobile app sends you a notification at the scheduled time, copies the caption, and opens the network's app so you can finish the post yourself. It isn't automatic, but it's how SocialBee covers personal Instagram and Facebook accounts, Facebook Groups, and networks with no publishing API. Universal Posting uses the same trick for any network you name.

The X line needs a footnote. SocialBee's pricing page lists X under direct posting, but its X help article says you need a Direct Posting add-on at $10 a month, and without it X posts go through reminders. If X matters to you, ask SocialBee before you buy.

Video length is the other big difference. Postminion takes one video per post, up to 3 minutes and 500 MB, because it's built for short-form. SocialBee's limits are much looser: Instagram videos up to 15 minutes, Facebook up to 45, Threads up to 5, and YouTube videos of any length up to 512 MB.

Where SocialBee is ahead

In quite a few places, and they're real advantages.

• Evergreen recycling. This is SocialBee's signature. You put posts into categories, add the categories to time slots in a weekly schedule, and SocialBee picks the next post from each category when its slot comes up. Evergreen categories go back to the first post after the last one publishes, so they run until you stop them. You can expire a post after it's gone out a set number of times or on a set date, and you can fill categories automatically from RSS feeds. If you run a blog or a small business with a stock of posts that are always relevant, this can keep your accounts active with very little ongoing work. Postminion can't do any of this. Postminion's idea of recycling is you uploading the video again.
• AI writing. Every SocialBee plan includes unlimited AI caption and image generation. The Copilot reads your website (or asks you a few questions if you don't have one) and suggests which networks to use, a set of content categories, and draft posts to edit. Postminion doesn't write anything for you.
• Inbox. SocialBee's Engage inbox is on every plan. It handles comments, mentions, and DMs for Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts, comments and mentions for Threads, X, and LinkedIn company pages, and YouTube comments. Postminion has no inbox.
• Analytics. Three months of history on Bootstrap and two years on Accelerate and up, plus a Facebook competitor comparison. Pro and up can export branded PDF reports. Postminion's analytics are coming soon. Today it shows you what was published, not how it did.
• Teams and clients. Post approvals from Accelerate. Multiple users from Pro, with Owner, Manager, Publisher, and Contributor roles, internal notes on posts, and separate workspaces per client. Postminion is one login per account. It does have multiple private workspaces, but only for you.
• Posting extras. First comments (Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, YouTube), best-time suggestions, location and collaborator tags on Instagram, a hashtag organizer, CSV import, and Canva, Unsplash, and GIPHY built into the editor. Postminion has none of these today.
• Automation hooks. Zapier, Make, and Pabbly integrations, plus custom webhooks for technical setups.
• More networks and longer videos. See the table above.

Where Postminion is ahead

• Price. $8 a month for up to 8 accounts versus $29 for 5. At 50 accounts it's $50 a month against $179.
• One feature set. Nothing is held back for a higher tier. On SocialBee, approvals and CSV uploads start at Accelerate, and branded reports start at Pro.
• AI agents. Postminion connects to Claude, ChatGPT, or any client that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol, the standard AI assistants use to talk to other apps). The assistant can draft, schedule, publish, update, or cancel posts, with permissions you choose and can revoke anytime. SocialBee's help center says it doesn't have a public API, and I couldn't find an MCP connector in its docs. Its Zapier and Make integrations are the closest thing.
• Less setup. SocialBee's category system is good, but it is a system. You set up categories and a schedule before your first post goes out. In Postminion you upload a video, pick the accounts, pick a time, and you're done.

When I started making content about two years ago, I was spending an hour a day doing the dumbest possible task: re-uploading the same video to five different apps. That's the problem Postminion solves, and it doesn't try to solve much else. If your problem is keeping a library of 200 evergreen posts in rotation, SocialBee is built for that and Postminion isn't.

So which one should you use?

Use SocialBee if:

• You have evergreen content you want recycled automatically, from a blog, a product catalogue, or a stock of tips.
• You want AI to help write posts, or to suggest a posting strategy.
• You need an inbox, analytics, approvals, or logins for teammates or clients.
• You post to X, Pinterest, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, or a LinkedIn company page, or you upload long YouTube videos.

Use Postminion if:

• You make new short-form videos or posts and want each one on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Threads, Facebook, and personal LinkedIn.
• You want the lowest price for several accounts, with every feature on every plan.
• You want an AI assistant to do the scheduling through MCP.

Does Postminion recycle evergreen posts like SocialBee?

No. Postminion has no content categories, queues, or recurring posts. Each post goes out once at the time you choose. If evergreen recycling is what you're after, SocialBee does it on every plan.

Does SocialBee have a free plan?

No. SocialBee has a 14-day free trial with full Pro features and no credit card required. Postminion doesn't have a free plan either. Its free trial is 7 days, and you're not charged if you cancel within that time.

How much cheaper is Postminion than SocialBee?

For 5 accounts, SocialBee Bootstrap is $29 a month and Postminion Starter is $8. For 10 accounts, SocialBee Accelerate is $49 a month and Postminion Pro is $15. Can SocialBee post long videos to YouTube?

Yes. SocialBee publishes YouTube Shorts and regular YouTube videos of any length, up to 512 MB. Postminion posts YouTube Shorts only.
