Where the numbers come from
Each platform publishes a safe zone for vertical video ads, and the same buttons and captions cover ordinary posts. Meta's ads guide says to keep the top 14%, the bottom 35% and 6% on each side of a Reel free of text and logos. TikTok and YouTube publish overlay templates instead of numbers, so the margins here are measured from those templates.
On a 1080 x 1920 frame that works out to: Reels 269 pixels at the top, 672 at the bottom and 65 on each side. TikTok 240 at the top, 660 at the bottom and 120 on each side, plus a 300-pixel column on the right of the lower 1,080 pixels for the like, comment and share buttons. YouTube Shorts 288 at the top, 672 at the bottom, 48 on the left and 192 on the right.
If you post the same video to all three, use the combined view. It marks anything that is covered on at least one platform.
